Did we talk about the other aspect of the story of Moses and Khidr?

There are many ways in which one can examine this story from different perspectives

In the last episode we talked about the wisdom behind Khidr’s actions, today we’ll look at the story from the perspective of Moses (ASA)

Moses wanted to go on a journey with the wisest man. Before going on the journey, Khidr told Moses that he will not have patience to understand his actions. Moses was committed to go on a journey with him, and said that he will have patience with him

Throughout their journey, Moses cannot make sense of Khidr’s actions, and questions his actions. Due to his impatience, Khidr parts ways with Moses.

The takeaway from this journey is that patience is of utmost importance. As stated in a hadith, the highest form of worship is to be patient with hardships. (Tirmidhi)

Also Allah says in the Qur’an, that He loves those who are patient and steadfast. 3:146.

The moral of the story is… that patience should be the hallmark quality of a believer

Keep in mind that Allah is with the patient. 2:153
